Bible Verses about 'Proverbs 21:31'
- Every way of a man is right in his own eyes:
but the Lord pondereth the hearts. - To do justice and judgment
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - He that followeth after righteousness and mercy
findeth life, righteousness, and honour. - He coveteth greedily all the day long:
but the righteous giveth and spareth not. - A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches,
and loving favour rather than silver and gold. - By humility and the fear of the Lord
are riches, and honour, and life. - Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it. - The rich ruleth over the poor,
and the borrower is servant to the lender. - Labour not to be rich:
cease from thine own wisdom. - Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not?
for riches certainly make themselves wings;
they fly away as an eagle toward heaven. - My son, if thine heart be wise,
my heart shall rejoice, even mine. - The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice:
and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. - So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul:
when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward,
and thy expectation shall not be cut off. - He that hath no rule over his own spirit
is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. - Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not;
neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity:
for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off. - A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself;
but the simple pass on, and are punished. - Iron sharpeneth iron;
so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. - As in water face answereth to face,
so the heart of man to man. - He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer shall be abomination. - He that covereth his sins shall not prosper:
but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. - A fool uttereth all his mind:
but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards. - A man's pride shall bring him low:
but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. - The fear of man bringeth a snare:
but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. - Every word of God is pure:
he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. - Remove far from me vanity and lies:
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with food convenient for me. - Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all
such as are appointed to destruction. - Open thy mouth, judge righteously,
and plead the cause of the poor and needy. - Who can find a virtuous woman?
for her price is far above rubies. - Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain:
but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge:
but fools despise wisdom and instruction. - Turn you at my reproof:
behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you,
I will make known my words unto you. - For the Lord giveth wisdom:
out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. - He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous:
he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. - He keepeth the paths of judgment,
and preserveth the way of his saints. - Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment,
and equity; yea, every good path. - My son, forget not my law;
but let thine heart keep my commandments:
For length of days, and long life,
and peace, shall they add to thee. - Let not mercy and truth forsake thee:
bind them about thy neck;
write them upon the table of thine heart:
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding
in the sight of God and man. - Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths. - Be not wise in thine own eyes:
fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel,
and marrow to thy bones. - Honour the Lord with thy substance,
and with the firstfruits of all thine increase. - My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord;
neither be weary of his correction:
For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth;
even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. - Happy is the man that findeth wisdom,
and the man that getteth understanding. - Withhold not good from them to whom it is due,
when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. - Envy thou not the oppressor,
and choose none of his ways.
For the froward is abomination to the Lord:
but his secret is with the righteous. - Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not;
neither decline from the words of my mouth. - Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom:
and with all thy getting get understanding. - Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings;
and the years of thy life shall be many. - I have taught thee in the way of wisdom;
I have led thee in right paths. - My son, attend to my words;
incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes;
keep them in the midst of thine heart. - Keep thy heart with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues of life.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.Next verse!With image
